I’m sorry I haven’t had a chance to get to know everyone here yet or to add much to the group so far, so to make up for it, I propose to take the initiative by allowing everyone a chance to do a guest blog post on my blog. I really want to help everyone and make a difference. I think this will a good way to bring us all a wee bit closer as a group. Since Leeza Robertson is doing the podcasting, I thought I’d do the blogging part. This is your chance to tell the world about yourself!
Before I go any further, let me tell you a little about myself so you get to know me better.
My real name is Barry Ferguson but I go my the name of A. J. Westin (my pen name) and I am a children’s adventure book author with over two dozen books to my name. I am married with three children who are 20, 15, and 10 years old. I joined SWDYD2 as a way to get the word out about literacy. I love children and I want to instill the love of reading to them as well as showing them how to take those beautiful stories they have in their hearts and teach them how to put them into book form so they can become authors themselves.
I want to help my fellow authors here in SWDYD2 by giving everyone a chance to answer this two-part question.
Why did you become an author and what do you hope to accomplish with your writing?
Here are the rules for guest posting on my blog.
1- No more than 750 words.
2- Send your name and picture with your posting so I know who you are.
3- You can record it as an audio or video along with the written word (whatever you want to do is fine with me).
4- Keep it to the point and any promotion you have, you can add at the bottom with your photo and website url.
5- One blog post per person.
Let’s hope we can add everyone so we can get the word out about this great project. Everyone is welcomes to contribute and I hope by doing this we can all learn a little bit more about one another and become closer. Hey, who knows, there just might be some joint ventures waiting to happen between us.
You can get in touch with me by sending me an email at BMSJ33@aol.com and going here www.ajwestin.com/guest-posting and I will answer all your questions.
Thank you everyone and hope to hear back from all of you very soon.
