Many times in life we have that light bulb moment go off in our heads when we realize we have found that special thing that makes us who we are. That holds true when it comes to writing for children. You can see it in the author’s face when they speak about the stories they write for children that they love doing what they are doing.
When you are able to see the look on a child’s face and know that you were the one that tugged at their heartstrings or made them laugh it is a great feeling. Authors who have built their careers on writing children’s stories have found a well that never runs dry. There are so many ideas to write about and with the great success of the Harry Potter books, the Dork Diaries as well as The Diary of A Wimpy Kid, children’s books have become the next great place to write for.
The market is exploding right now and when you write for children you have a chance to fulfill a dream for a children with a story that resonates within those children.
Finally, children need to be inspired and when you can off a story that children love you can influence that child in a positive manor.
